Although I honestly believe that AI is not going to fully replace artists, it would be naive to think that AI tools are going to go away and futile to resist the 'change'. Having said that, I'd like to remain positive and try to appreciate areas where AI tools are actually helping me and other artists achieve things faster and better... that's why I'm really excited about the Substance 3D Sampler recently added feature (currently in BETA at the time of this post) to '3D scan'.

This new feature uses AI in a positive way to simplify and streamline the process of photogrammetry and it takes just a few minutes to get a very decent mesh out of some photographs:
