Alright, it took me a little longer but I'm happy with the new two IMM brushes I created specifically for this project:
Sci-fi box bits and pieces: This brush is just an IMM with a bunch of toggles, gear and stuff to add to the scanner, but obviously you can use it for whatever you want. The meshes from this brush are already set up and work nicely with Dynamic Subdivision too ;)
Sci-fi box booleans: This second one is basically the same but all the objects from this IMM brush are set up for 'subtraction' using Live Booleans. Most of the objects in this brush also work nicely with Dynamic subdivision except for some of the 'panels' bits.
