A monthly dose of 3D art-related stuff by Pablo Munoz Gomez

Live Booleans in ZBrush is an amazing tool for concepts and I use it often when working with some kind of hard-surface objects. The issue with the resulting mesh of the Boolean operation is the geometry triangulation (around the borders). On a positive note, the resulting mesh also has very well defined polygroups so turning a 'booleaned mesh' into something more usable, is a straightforward process if you use the ZRemesher tool.

In the case of this Sci-Fi scanner prop, I followed an even simpler process that doesn't involve re-meshing anything or even dealing with UVS.
