For this month of May, we are running an art contest in the Discord community and the aim is to re-create or re-imagine a classic character of the Start Wars universe in your own style.

Anyway, the reason I mentioned the challenge is that I'll be working on my own entry but only as a demo and share progress, so I thought I'll give you a more detailed insight into the process with this month's snippet.
In this post, I'll cover the initial setup of all the pieces and the polypaint blockout.
I'm calling this guy 'Vex Zenith' and hopefully you can see that it is 100% based on Darth Maul... so the idea is to create a version of it for an alternative story where this character is actually part of the Jedi order and not a Sith.
